Pet Owner's Responsibilities

HELP US MAKE OUR VISITS AS EASY AS POSSIBLE!  WE WANT YOUR PET TO KEEP THEIR NORMAL ROUTINE EVEN WHILE YOU'RE AWAY.  FOLLOW THESE FEW SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH PUP ITS ABSOLUTE BEST!

1. Have all food, treats, bowls, and toys in a visible place for your pet sitter.  We do not want to have to search through your house to find these!

2. Leave any new instructions written in detail in a visible place near the pet's food.  We'll be sure to follow any instruction we might not have covered in our interview.

3. If you would like us to walk your pet, have a leash out.  Pup Pet Sitters will not take any pets out of any enclosed area without a leash, even when instructed.  Please inform your pet sitter of any holes in a fence, or other ways a pet could get loose from your yard.

4. If medication should be administered, leave instructions as well as the medication out and visible.

5. Have scoop and bags available near litter box.

6. Call us if you have any last minute needs or questions!  We would love to discuss these with you so you have peace of mind when leaving your pets with us.

Entry/Locksmith Policy

1.  If Pup is required to hire a locksmith due to malfunction of lock, the client will reimburse Pup immediately upon their return.

2.  If a friend or family member has a key to client's home, Pup can contact that person before calling a locksmith.  This must be arranged in advance of the client's departure.

3.  Please advise your pet sitter if any other individuals will be at your home while you are away.

4.  Pup suggests that during winter months, a neighbor or nearby friend be given a key to client's house in case extreme weather conditions do not permit your pet sitter to travel.

5.  The contract signed by the client and Pup representative at the initial interview will be valid for all future service requests.  This offers the client the convenience of not booking a consultation interview before each job.  The original signed contract permits any Pup representative to enter designated premises at scheduled times without additional signed contract or written authorization.

Client Return Policy

1.  Upon early or scheduled return, client must notify Pup immediately to avoid being charged for additional visits.  We want to ensure all pets are cared for, in the event that the client would remain out of town longer than scheduled, for any reason.

2.  If a client is due to return home and Pup has not been notified of their arrival, Pup will attempt to contact the client before an additional visit is made.  If Pup has not been able to verify that the client has returned home before the next typical (unscheduled) visit time, Pup will make another visit to the clients home to check on pets.  Client will submit payment for any unscheduled, additional visits immediately upon return.

3.  The regular visit fee will be incurred as well as an extra $5 charge to all visits under these conditions.
